Don't forget to look at how many stars the restaurant is..if all you look at is the money then you could end up staying in a **** hole and wish you never went.

Imo, you should go in late october or early november. That's the time my wife and I went to Mexico (the Myan Riviera actually). The hurricane seasons is basically over by then, and the prices are still affordable. (actually they drop a bit at some of the resorts around that time) They only start to get more expensive again around Christmas/New Years.

Btw, the weather was excellent at that time. (always above 30 for the 2 weeks we were there) It did ran a few times, but it was usually in the morning, and it was only for about 1/2 hour (if that).

You should call Itravel2000 and request them to put you on their email/fax list. They will send you last minute deals that are pretty good. ; )

One more thing. If you want to make sure the place you stay at is up to snuff, I would suggest you look at a Riu resort (most of them are 5 stars). You will not be dissapointed.

More info on the Riu resorts...

Official site.

Unofficial site with lots of pics from various Riu's.
