I've never had a laptop but I need to get one for school. I just need a simple laptop that can run MS Office has a CD(RW) or DVD player/burner and doesnt take forever to boot up. What type and specification do you recommend and how much for a used on?
Also if i was to get one is it possible to use a router to link it to me internet at home?(forgive the ignorance if this is not possible have no experience with these routers). I heard that for what im looking for i can get for about 600? Thanks

As soon as you said DVD/CD-RW $600 became a pipe dream...

Router is cheap...

You need more than one port correct...

Or do you have a hub already...

i have no idea what your talkin about! I dont know anything about this router stuff.

What type of laptop (speed and memory) do you recommend for my simple educational needs? as long as the CD playes CD-RW's i'm happy.

I dont really like buying things from e-bay (never tried!). are there any stores that sell quality refurbished one's for a decent price?
