Well, it depends. Cause most Tegs are beat on by their owners. $5000 for a 93 seems high to me (it is 12 years old) And insurance will kill you. Just get a 94 and up RS or GS and swap in a gsr motor.

Very nice car.
Sounds a bit pricey though, you can probably find one for cheaper (3-4 grand). But it all depends on what condition it is in, any rust, etc etc. Also call your insurance before you think about buying it b/c they're pretty expensive.

Offer him like 4200 CERT & E-TESTED

I sold my 90 LS in the summer with new paint, b16a motor, cert and e-tested with 260K for $3800. Took me a looong time to get that money, so I consider myself lucky for getting what I got. It was really clean, probably the cleanest 2ng gen teg I ever witnessed.

So 4200 is not too bad, thing is you don't know how beat up that motor is, it can blow up in a week...but that's the chance with any used car though.
I wouldn't pay more than 4200, maybe even 4000.

For 5 g's you can get a current style teg.. 5000 for a 93 is too much.

My insurance company said that civics are the most expensive non sport/luxury car to insure..
so if tegs are not considered sports cars.. then go for it
