I don't understand why anyone thinks it is Canada's job to fight in another country.

If you really think something has to be done about it, shouldn't you buy a plane ticket and go do something yourself? If you're not willing to risk your life for your cause, why should Canadian soldiers do so?
Its not Canada's right ... but its the army's job to promote peace and help those countries less fortunate in aid of warfare if necessary. Once you sign your life to the army that becomes your job.

thats a pretty ignorant statement for someone that is not "well informed". Its easy to talk when its not something you believe in or support. When they start bombing you country, where your friends and family live. Then you can start a thread about how you want TCC to suit up and help you

i believe its a right to protest in a peaceful manner, which for the most part they have done. Not sure what employers can really do. Who knows, they might not even have jobs? Not everyone has a job. Maybe even self employed. And im pretty sure its not the same group of ppl day after day. Prob rotating shifts of people. And i believe, not 100% sure, its no pay if they choose to. Its like a strike except no union lol.

the last thing i would do is ask someone to do something i would not be willing to do for them.

You can always get on a plane and go help who you want.

Every normal man must be tempted at times to spit on his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin to slit throats. H.L. Mencken

I also don't believe in any foreign aid by my federal government.

That is not their job.

A government must defend against invasion, protect its citizens from crime crime, provide basic infrastructure, and defend the freedom of individual choice and property rights. Not much more.

My tax dollars do not need to go to wars that don't affect me. Nor do I want people strapping bombs to their chest at the Eaton centre 5 years from now because Canada was deemed responsible for something by some idiot.

Most run their own businesses.

No, most of them are supported by our government as soon as they land here, they live with multiple families in one dewelling sucking our taxes out to support themselves while they do things like this.

Some of them may well run their own businesses, how many do you think are true Canadian citizens. If they were, they wouldn't do this. (Go home and do something, why do we have to send our troops, how many of their family members are in the Canadian armed forces fighting with the existing troops on past and current conflicts or missions?)

I say boycott any business run by them and let's see how they enjoy our own protest against them for disruptoing our lives. Eye for an eye.

Sure they can protest, make your voice known. All they are really doing is creating an uproar that will spark more disrespect for their community than it already has, by acting the way that has been done.

actually I think it is something he believes in. He "believes" its annoying how they are blocking roads and trying to get Canada involved in something Canada has no business getting involved in.

The likelihood of someone bombing Canada is slim, I actually am quite confident we are safe here. We are not a war hungry country and we normally just go in to keep the peace and stop the wars, even though we don't accomplish much

I like how you said "when they"... you are assuming these people protesting are going to bomb our country? Aren't you just being as ignorant as his statement? lol

Everytime i see a Tamil now im gonna give them a dirty look cause of what they did on that Gardiner and also College and University last night. They dont have a right to block major intersections or hwys by any means. I was really pissed off when i saw that on the news last night.

that's kinda dumb... no offense. You can't hate on ALL of them because some of them are idiots. I'm sure there are some that are looking at the protesters and are ashamed

What i find funny is that the most out spoken people on the net wasn't even stuck in traffic last night and has little knowledge to what's going on. And when told what's up the who cares attitude comes out.

FTR : I personally dont support them blocking traffic and such, but what is going on there is horrific and they have raised awareness, else it would of been ignored.
