Some quick help about selling a car

"take the money" is good advice

have him come to the bank with you before you give him the title... could be fake bills. or DEMAND a cert. cheque or money order.

Have you negotiated a price yet? If not, he'll probably low ball a bit, but because he has cash in hand and plates and is ready to take it off your hands he thinks you'll accept.

Since it's cash, it's most likely going to be lower than what you expect.

My 2 cents.

okay, that sounds like a good idea, so if its cash, get it all checked, then hand over the ownership? bank is just down the street so it shouldnt be a problem

If his name is palominoxp, don't believe a word he says. This guy's a TCC Noob that likes to blow smoke up a seller's ***.

Stay firm to your price, it all depends on how bad you want to sell the car

if your in a hurry to sell the car, then take 3400

You can look at it this way too,

There will be more and more cars for sale as summer gets near...so maybe the chances of you selling your car daown the road will diminish because of a more competitive market.

Tough call, try to talk thim up though. He's offering you 15% less than what you want. tell him you won't give more than a 10% discount.

Stay firm to the price that you want. And make sure the bills are all legit, so take him and the money to a bank.

i would have thought that the sale would be easier rite in spring time, because thats when people are looking for sweet summer rides. Its ok tho, the guy only had 3400 bux so i said no thanks. im sure if i am patient, i will get what i want

thanks for everyones help

a buddy of mine has done this twice and got really good deals.

open up autotrader.

look for people selling a car you are interested in, show up with 60% cash and if you like the car offer it then and there. Take it or leave it kind of thing.

Most people will tell you to screw off, but a big enough percentage out there needs money fast for this to work.

Whether they have drug or gambling problems, or they need money for an operation is not your concern.

just something to keep in mind.
