So who is into guns???

Ever since I was a kid, I've always loved guns. Maybe it's an inner demon of mine wanting to lay waste to society, or to wish I was an American where I could walk around strapped. My Dad was a Cop, so I grew up with guns around before the Govt came up with this gun registry crap.

So I've often wondered, with all of the e-thugs and wannabe gangsters out there, who has actually fired a gun.

It feels very cool actually, but very diffacult. Not like in the movies where it looks so easy. Most people couldn't hit a human sized target from 10 feet away. The adrenaline starts to flow and your hands shake. Your vision narrows and darkens and time slows down. It's very, very exciting.

A good friend of mine is an ex-army gun nut and he has a pretty good gun collection. So recently I've had the opportunity to fire a Garand M1 semi auto rifle. The same gun that was in Saving Private Ryan and most WWII war movies. It was awesome. 8 rounds as fast as you can fire them and the gun makes the "ting" sound just like the movies when it's empty. The gun was wood and metal and heavy, but ery stable once it was held in a prone posiion. It was very accurate and I could hit a stationary target easily from 25m away.

He also has a vintage M1911 Colt 45 handgun. It was wicked, but it was very heavy and I could barely hit the targets from only a few feet away. The recoil messed up my aim and I being so heavy, it was hard to keep on target. He told me that the lighter Glocks/SIGs/Berettas that the Cops use are much lighter and easier to fire, but lack the stopping power of the 45.

The same guy is trying to talk me into joining the Reserves so we can play Army in the summer. It's so tempting too. I can get a few weeks off work and run around in the woods and blow stuff up. My wife would kill me though if I ever got shipped off to Afganistan or wherever. I would get to play with real guns though.

I like guns but it's a pain to get one here.

Almost worth moving to the states.

I was in Miami a few months ago and I got the chance to go to a range and fire off some guns. It was a huge rush and just an overall good experience. Btw I was using a Automatic Colt .45 and a Ruger P90

Didn't we just have one of these threads not too long ago?

I'm not really into guns, but there's a couple I've seen that are just gorgeous pieces.

Desert Eagle. Designed and produced in Israel for the IDF, then sold/used in the US.

I've never shot a real handgun before. Biggest one is my father's Winchester 12 ga. Nice gun, it's fun to just kind of aim in a general direction and be able to hit the target.

lmfao, that's good you can't get them as easy as you can in the states but sooner or later i'm going to have to learn how to fire one the right way

Love the C7A1 and wish I could get by the law and own one.

Shot an MP5 that my friend owns

Then fired a **** load of other automatic and semi automatic rifles and hand guns. Personal favorite handgun is the Desert Eagle by far

not a gun but also fired the good ol' Carl Gustav

I'm about up there with mugen_R

C7, C6, C9, M72 (dummy round), Karl Gustav.

Here's a link for more info regarding weapons in the C.F.

DND weapons

I wished airsoft was still legal in Canada.
