So ... im outside my work (were having a BBQ today) and im waiting for my food to cook up .. and im hearing this LOUDDDDDDDDD noise all over ... (i work near the airport)

i look up and i see pure fighter jets circling the area ... i guess they are warming up for the CNE show next week ... but DAMMMMMMMN .. those things are loud .. i didn't have a cam to snap pics .. but they were soo low i felt like i could pelt the planes with rocks ....

when i went to niagra a little while ago i saw some fighter jets circling around there too. they were very low, but definitely pretty damn loud

when i lived in rexdale every plane on its way to the air show used to fly right over my building

I have leer jets -747s landing over my work every 30seconds on many days...it gets kinda loud but the music inside is even louder...so I can only hear em when I'm outside havin a cig

You know the tittle of this thread is "snow birds"....but you know the snow birds don't fly fighter jets.

They fly old trainer jets from the 1960's hence the recent malfuntioning seat strap and crash a while back.

These old trainers are quite pathetic and the snow birds should be flying REAL fighter jets like the blue angels. (I think they fly f-18 hornets currently...).

When I went on my honeymoon last october, we went down to virginia beach, where there are alot of naval and airforce bases. Every day there were f-16's f-18's and I'm pretty sure I saw an f-22 raptor once or twice, flying around everywhere....yes they are rediculously, insanely loud.


Awsome stuff. I must go up in a ride in a modern fighter jet before I die!

^ They have an f-22 in toronto for the air show. Its actually in the sky today flying around. You can tell its one from the different manouvers they can do and they style. The F-22 is super loud thou.... it cant go to fast due to noise violations I believe.
