saw something funny on tv this morning

i was flipping through the chanels this morning and saw horse power tv... they were doing something cool to a car... can't remember what it was... then the next segment they showed a civic... so i'm like cool i'll watch this....

so i'm thinking since its HP tv they would put a super charger or turbo or something like that... NO... here was they did.... they put on chrome rims... and then decorated the rest of the car with apc junk.... like this front bumper... and a hideous rear wing.... it was an embarassment to civics everywhere

that "project car" they apparently just "finished" had a stock engine in it too !

Was the car a green one....if so they put a gsr motor in it last time i saw it.

oh really... i didn't know... from what i saw on the show this morning they sounded like all they did was slap on some apc crap and thats all... they didn't really show anything else

man that thread is over a year old... one of the links dont work and one for the "hot parts" had nothing in it....

i dont think they mod the cars properly just to how the sponcers want it

Oh , they modded it right....they even do dyno runs. They even got in a "pro" to help with the engine swap in the later episodes.

I ordered a video copy of a CRX they did once......bodykit install...ect.....not a bad video.

Maybe I'll upload it one day and share......maybe.

Well, like most of the other cars that they have on the show, I think that they build up the car over the course of a few episodes so the episode you saw was probably the "Dress-up" episode for the Civic and then in later/prior ones they did engine/suspension mods.

ya i think your right... to bad apc had to ruin that car by being a sponcer

It'd be pretty stupid for a show called "Horsepower TV" to do a segment on a car and all they do is appearance mods to it!! Well, if they did that then I think that it'd just perpetuate the myth that stickers and dumb spoilers add 10hp each.
