Saw The Effects Of Street Racing

Well today I saw I mashed up Del Sol.
Heres what I saw.
Earlier tonight me went to a friends house for a little get together. When we got there we noticed up the street that there was a mashed up Del Sol about 100m from where my friends house. What stuck out more was the fire trucks at the scene.
Anyways me and my friend (jaysi) decided to take the quick walk and see what was up.
Man it was pretty bad.
A 94-95 Del Sol VTEC had got mashed up due to street racing. The reason I say its racing is because we heard a guy that apparently saw the accident say the Sol was racing an Accord.
This street is one lane, but does have room for 2 cars to fit easily.
The speed limit is 40km since its a school zone.
Heres an idea of what the Sol looked like (from what we could tell) the guy lost control of the car on a turn went up the curb, hit fire hydrant (which was on the ground) hit one of those parking swing things (they're yellow, not sure how else to describe it, its yellow though) and took out a speed limit sign. All this happened on the driver side door.
We found a piece of the rim where the fire hydrant was.
It looks like he somehow drove the car about 200m (stop sign) and then just stopped there.
From what the cop said dude went to the hospital.
Inside the car on the door we saw some blood. The passenger airbag went off, his didnt since he changed the steering wheel from stock to a Momo one. Perhaps he would have been fine? Who knows?
Anyways the creepy thing is that we saw the same car/guy a few hours earlier...
Just before we were about to leave my friend pointed out that the Sol had nitrous in it. Don't know if he was running it though.
Also a guy we knew from high school said that the guy was always doing about 100km in residential zones and the general vibe from the people around was that this guy was known for stuff like that, so they kinda expected it. To be fair though I dont know him.

Anyways folks remember to be safe.

Maybe if jaysi sees this he can help me out on this...

Anyways take care people!

Yah, sliver pretty much summed it all up there, not much else to add. Kids these days lack the brains to do this stuff in the afternoon in a residential school zone! Coulda hit a kid or somethng...

The sol looked like a write off...Sliver and I were picking the part we want. I call dibs on the seats!

Dont' worry about it. It is called the Process of Natural Elimination. Those who choose to act stupid will get fallout sooner then those to stay safe.

I have been in accidents a couple times myself. I am lucky those weren't majoy ones however, life is too precious to joke around.

I hate crap like this. This is why I've been pulled over in the past two weekends for my 'loud exhaust'

Well I found out more info about the crash today thanks to Leeta.
Me and jaysi saw her there.
Anyways apparently the guy was either under the influence (drunk or high or both?) and he was racing a Civic hatch.
Just another one to add to the list of charges.

Anyways she also said that the police thought they found the guy but it was the wasn't him.
Poor kid though, they cuffed him and put him in the car...

But ya Letta said that the guy in the Sol was known for doing that kind of stuff.
Another friend said the Sol was also the guys 3rd car (had a Prelude which he crashed and a track which he killed as well)

Anyways be safe people!

but that's not it. you're missing the point.

reckless driving is MORE than just HIS life. it affects anyone and everyone on the road. it's not like he's just putting himself at risk here. he can kill other people and he's just damn lucky he didnt. especially in the residential areas...he could have easily run down some kid walking his dog.

Wern't you speeding with a suspended lic.? Wasn't it the THIRD time?

And the cops are to blame for this, right?

This is why I hate it when people come to the meet and want to go out and race.....or they are drinking beer....(I saw to bottles last wed).....or they want to start a fight.

What's wrong with all you people? Do you like to get fuqed up the *** by insurance for all the tickets you have? Is it that hard to slow down?

This is why our rates are getting higher and hgher, and were are always the ones to get picked on.

Cops ARE doing thier jobs. I just hope they get all the retards off the road, that way I won't have to worry about making a left turn and getting broadsided by a morron racing a yellow/red light.

I'm done my rant.

Hehe... funny you guys say this....

On my way home, I was just cruizing 100-110 or so... anyways, I caught a finger TWICE!! (yes, the middle finger) from some 35 yr old gino-looking **** in an older 95ish BMW, it was funny cuz he rolled right up on my back bumper... I just kept cruizing @ the same speed he swerved, passed me, and the cut me off while hanging out the window, looking back at me and giving me the finger. That's real smooth buddy... I'm sure your cougar g/f was impressed. LOL Anyways, for a second I did wish he would ram his BMW right in the ditch, but then I thought about his frightened passenger, and then thought otherwise. Bastard... he's got his coming, I'm sure. And the second middle finger was cuz I had my hand out the window, and the guy thought I was giving him the finger for some reason, so he shot one back LOL Hahaha... Anyways, it's idiots like in the BMW that cause accidents with their road rage. Not cool at all. Yeah, speed is a killer too, but a dumbass behind the wheel is the most dangerous thing out there!! So remember, it's not speed that kills... not always anyways.

Just wondering if you were to video tape some people doing stupid things like that, ya know get it on tape and give it to the police, would they charge the "racers"?
