RSX vs Civic Si (7th Gen)

Okay, which is faster?

New RSX, or new Civic Si?

I'll give you the low down.

RSX
Horsepower: 160@6500RPM
Torque: 141Ft@4000RPM

Civic Si
Horsepower: 127@6100RPM
Torque: 114Ft@4800RPM

Now........ by looking at the stats.... I think the RSX is faster. I don't know how much heavier the RSX is, if at all, being built on the same chassis.

But some moron on www.7thgencivic.com is claiming he smoked an RSX, a Sentra SE-R SpecV, a Celica GT, etc etc.... and says he does 1/4mile in 15.8s............

You guys believe that? (I don't.)

well if can somehow pull 15.8's then he can beat all those cars. i know for a fact that the RSX is a 16 second car.

now whether he can actually do a 15.8 is a different story. kind of hard to believe if you ask me...unless he's not stock.

Yeah that's the thing.... Civics are NOT 15-sec cars.

The best test score I've seen on a media publication was 16.2s, by Car&Driver... all others are getting 16.5-17.0s...

And everyone else on the fourm is doing 17's....

Then here's this hero on the internet, doing 15.8s, bone stock...

maybe he had a heck of a tail wind or something? lol

you should find out if this guy CONSISTENTLY runs 15.8's or not. if he's been running high 16's all his life except for one miracle run that was a 15.8 that could be due to a timing problem at the track.

he probably is....
the canadian Si is labeled as an EX down south... so if this guy is in an american Si, then his 1/4 mile time probably isn't an "internet miracle"

also don't forget the RSX base has 160hp as well

With a hp of only 160, he's probably talking about the base model.

rsx auto sure won't beat sir's... but manual.. prob have a chance, remember SIR's are 115 tourque, rsx is 145.. so even if rsx has more weight.. it should't be a problem...

as for sir's 1/4 mile... 16 bone stock @ MAX!!

They took it off due to overwhelming flames.

(I called him a bitch and a liar... but that was just the tip of the iceberg)

Someone busted him anyway. He was talking about timeslips, and his 30' time was ridiciously bad, like almost 3 full seconds. Yet he achieved 15's... which means it's either NOSed or he's just fabricating the whole story.

do you mean old or new SiR's? the old SiR could definitely get into the 15's bone stock. the new one is a different story.

What are you talkin about SiRs are not 16s?!!!!!

5th Gen hatchie with a JDM B16 (SiR in my case) makes 14.6 with LSD on street tires and with rear seats and garbage hollowed out.

Regards,
OK

I beat an RSX Type S the other night on the way home from G Spot - I was giving the guy's sexy lady a ride home, so he tried to race me on Lakeshore to win her back. Once I was a car length ahead, his girlfriend took off her thong and threw it out my sun roof. I saw the naughty under garments land on his wiper as he faded in my mirrors....

AND THEN I WOKE UP!!!!

James man, you know better than to believe some of the stories they talk about on there Man, if they even tried to post that on ClubSi, there would be a fleet of hybrids on that guy's front lawn within twenty-fo awaz.

Oh, by the way how are your new rims Do you have a broom stick to poke the ladies if they try to touch your car while they're asking for a ride?
