Riddle...
Three men decided to split the cost of a hotel room. The hotel manager gave them a price of $30.
The men split the bill evenly, each paying $10, and went to their room. However, the hotel manager realized that it was a Wednesday night, which meant the hotel had a special: rooms were only $25. He had overcharged them $5!
He called the bellboy, gave him five one-dollar bills and told him to return it to the men.
When the bellboy explained the situation to the men, they were so pleased at the honesty of the establishment that they promptly tipped the bellboy $2 of the $5 he had returned and each kept $1 for himself.
So each of the three men ended up paying $9 (their original $10, minus $1 back) totaling $27, plus $2 for the bellboy makes $29.
Where did the extra dollar go?

they didnt pay 9 each for the room. they each payed 8.33 for the room and then .67 each for a tip
that's the diffrence
the change would still amount to 3 dollars from thirty but that is an irrelevant figure to the equation which is
30 - [(3x8.33) + (0.67x3)]=3
30 - 27=3

^^^ maybe for a Grade 5 class? that wasn't fun, the answer was obvious.
Here is a question...
it's easy, but takes some doing. A train leaves Windsor at 8AM. A train leaves Montreal at 10 AM. The Windsor train averages 90 miles per hour, the MTL one averages 80mph. The distance from Windsor to MTL is 800 miles. At what time will they cross paths? (pass next to each other).

its not real;ly a riddle its just a math problem, unless the answer is something like they may never meet cause there mgoing in opposite directions (destination was not specified and any sort of inof in a riddle if not given can eb assumed) or that inifinte answer was a good one

a man has to cross an extreamily long walk bridge that can only handle 200lbs, the man weighs 180 lbs. the problem is that the man HAS to bring arcoss three items with him each weighing 10lbs. He can only make one trip.
