remote desktop

is it possible to have 2 people logged onto and using my computer at the same time?

i got remote desktop setup and want to be on and using my computer while my gf connects to it so she can use msn while shes at work cause they wont let it be installed on their system

now she can connect to my computer and log in and use msn and everything works fine, except when she does, even though i've got a seperate account set up for her, it kicks me out to the windows login screen, and if i log in, it d/c's her and we both can't be on at the same time...

this fixable?

if someone is connected to your computer using remote desktop, as soon as you touch your mouse they will be booted off.

you would need windows 2000 server w/ terminal services really...cuz even pcanywhere...you can see what the person is doing and that's it.

since your using XP pro ... there is a terminal server in that bundle that you should install and use terminal server client to login.

Nope I believe you can't have two people logged in at the same time. If it was 2k advanced server, I believe you can.

windows 2000 pro legally allows 10 connections to your pc...but that's all connections in general like ftp, etc. I'm not sure if there's a terminal services server you can get for pro.

and it doesn't have to be advanced server...regular server is fine. advanced server and datacenter server are for huge companies that need support for many cpu's in their servers...more ram...etc
