Anyone here read?

I used to, now I just drink, goto the gym, go one weekend road trips and work... I have 5-6 books at home I am supposed to sit down and read at some point.

I found this a while ago, I was gonna start picking books from this list.

http://books.google.com/googlebooks/banned/

I read a lot of them in highschool... so they're not high level.. but if they're controversial and teachers think it is important for hungry minds to read then I'm going to assume it has some sort of value.

I read, a usually an hour or so a day. I would love to see the reasons behind banning those books. Now i guess they are banned from schools in the USA and not Canada?

thats a good example ... see all those books that are now "BANNED" and most of us were reading those in school when we were younger ... so whats that tell u .. as time goes on things are proven to be not "appropriate" or not reccomended for young ppl to be reading ... why are they banned now .. and not 7 years ago ? CAUSE TIMES CHANGE !

Terry, they are inappropriate because people want to shelter their kids ridiculously.

any parent that would object to their kid reading any of those books and let them play Grand Theft Auto is an unfit parent.

That cannot be argued with.
