Recommend me a new printer
Well my trusty old Canon i560 has finally died. The print head is shot and I was told that a new head would be more then a new printer. Anyway, I'm looking for something basic just to print documents and maybe the odd photo. Another Canon or something new, but nothing over $150. Any thoughts?

Im partial to HP. Ive owned a few cannon printers back 5 years ago, and I hated thier ink management system. (I have no clue about the new ones.)
Ive used 2 HP's since then, and both have been rock solid and are working perfectly fine right now. (HP 932C and the HP 5550)

I've never liked HP and thier really expensive print cartriges (they use just 1 for colour)
I really like the Canon method, where each colour has its own cartridge, and you just replace as necessary, ends up costing you less I think...
Plus I've had like 3 HPs and 1 Canon (currently have an i550 and a HP 932c) the Canon is the last printer I bought (4 years ago) and is still going strong, no complaints what so ever...

some of the new HP photo machines are doing the individual ink tank system. HP has the fastest photo multifunction and fastest photo printer out right now, which use this technology. but not for 150 dollars. lolz
like I said above. go out and look for Canon Pixma and Epson.
Models to look for...
Canon 6210D/6220D - Those are roughly in your price range.
also
from Epson
Cheap=C88
More $$ = R340
from HP look at the HP 8050.
oh and DO NOT I repeat...DO NOT purchase Lexmark.
