is it easy to get the rear loose with those things? do you acutally need special drifting tires? are they gas or electric?

Someone bring theirs to the meet tonight

Off-Road R/C is still better :P

There's something very satisfying about skying your truck 5 or more feet in the air and sticking the landing.

I had an on-road car for 2 years, gets boring if you have no one to run with, or you dont race, imo.

Uh really depends, a tamiya kit costs like 140, then you need a battery/charger, a remote and an esc, you can prolly get started for around 400.

gas is the way to go.... unless you like carrying around 10-20 batteries, cuz they dont last for crap..

and i heard that to be able to drift those, it takes like 5-6 years of practice...... the tails slide out sooooo easy i tried it and all i was doing was 108°s and crap..

You do not need special tires but a company called Yokomo makes Drifting Rims & Tires and they are BY FAR the best way to get your R/C drifting

Yokomo Site

This is what My Car looks like.
