PS1 Mod Chipping

Hey guys/girls, just wondering if you guys know anyone that sells the chips to mod a ps1 or any sites I can get directed too. Also in the past I got mine done but it overheated after half an hour and most importantly it never played any original PS1 games anymore after the chip was installed
What chips wont overheat and make me play original PS1 games?

Thanx

mod-chip.com

I'm getting a Magic V or:

DMS 3 (Devolution Memory System 3) is probably the most complete and advanced modchip for the PS2.
It really has all the features all other chips have all together, but it is also a top quality chip, with bullet proof stability and reliability.
Extra features: DVD region free, divx, mp3 playback.
- Compatible with all PS2 Consoles (USA/PAL/JAP).
- Truly Universal - One Chip for all PS2 Versions!

They carry PS1 chips too!

Thanx B.
I'll check that site out and PULOVR, yea I did a search and came across a couple threads on PS2 chips and XBOX chips but not any on PS1 chips so I was wondering which ones are good without asking salesmen who lie
BTW i've been to pacmall before and all the chinese people give me dirty looks and cut you up in chinese, plus they serve you like ****, I got a catalogue thrown at me once b/c I asked the guy how much a camera was on the display case and he told me to look up the part number and find out myself, that's just one of the many stories I had on that same day. I already know it's b/c im white so theres really not much I can do about that except going to non asian stores
Plus imagine if I asked what chip is good for a PS1, they'll probably through a console at me

That's funny, a bunch of us go there all the time, and we have never come across that kind of attitude.

PULOVR, do you have any stores in there you advise to go to?
I'll hit pmall this week and check it out.

Any other suggestions on the actual chip itself which doesen't overheat and play regular games, I would like to know the name of it or any other info.

Im sure everyone has had there PS1 chipped in the past

COME CiViC [-_-]BoY I summon you to answer these life-altering questions

y0 I think the DVS 3 removes the .... what's it called... when DVDs get all screwey and have that color shifting thingy going on with the picture

on a side note Re: SVCDs and isht

"The Ps2 can now play VCD well(mpeg 1,2 and 4 that is) And it can now play divX 5.xx and earlier and aswell as Mp3's. I recived a newsletter from DivX(tm) news and The company Broadq(www.broadq.com) has the software(called Qcast) to allow this to be done. The program uses a boot disc then uses the new Sony PS2 Ethernet adapter to access a computer on a network like a file server and now can stream the divx and mpeg files for playing on a stereo and tv system. I would really sugest that anyone who is interested in playing vcds or at that Divx(tm) files, check it out. I can't wait to see more compatible codecs to be added. Thought I should let others know since I have been looking for a way to play vcds on my Playstation 2. "

"O.K. A LOT IS IN DEBATE I JUST GOT A V7 PS2,AND PUT IN A MAGIC 3.6 MOD,SO I DONT HAVE TO PATCH JACK,I CAN BOOT TO THE BROWSER;IT READS THE SVCD. IT GETS WORSE IT ONLY PLAYS THE AUDIO,NO VIDIO IM USING NERO TO BURN MY VCD'S WITHOUT THE MENUS,CAN ANYONE HELP ME WITH THIS TECH. PROBLEM, IS THERE A CODEC I SHOULD USE,ANY THING,TRY IT YOU WILL SEE!"

Go to Behive, They have always treated me nice there.

Follow the arrow. When you reach the end of the hall, turn left. Behive should be on your right hand side, a little way up.
