Portuguese Soccer on GolTV

Portuguese Soccer on GolTV
For those who don't understand what I'm trying to do here I'll explain.
GolTV is the leading provider of soccer in various different countries. Currently this channel is available for free on satellite dishes. I have received a lot of support for this so far but I am looking to get more people to sign to make more of an impact.
Portuguese soccer is currently not available on this channel and that is why I have created this petition.
It only takes a minute to sign the petition and plus you don't have to be Portuguese in order to sign it.
I wanna say thanks in advance to all of the people that sign this petition.
Thank You

first of all I don't follow sports. secondly, think of all the great TV shows that have been cancelled. you ever see me make a petition? no! why?
a broadcasting station is a business, an industry. if it don't make money, it don't make sense.
let's see if it would make money:
Portugal is a country of about 10 million people all the way across the Atlantic Ocean. The station is in North America. So say in North America there are about 200,000 fans. 200,000 is about the population of the city of Windsor. Say every person in Windsor wanted to watch the Spitfires play games. Should that mean the Spitfires need to be on national TV???
The point being, if you think portugese soccer needs to be on TV, then every hick town's hockey team should also be on national TV broadcasts. In terms of market and revenue generation, it would be the equivallent.
PETITION DENIED hahaha

majority of soccer showed on the station is european based, so why wouldn't it be shown? if your not into sports many are. hockey went out - many went crazy over it, same would happen to baketball.
soccer is the most popular sport in the world and one of the most money making sports as well...so how does it not have revenue? that din make sence... those players are making crazy amounts of money, given houses, cars, everything.
a country our size has 10 million canada only has 32 and look at its size... its accross the ocean yes, but where is champions league, english league, german leage and others? over there too last time i checked... the problem is nort americans don't like soccer - don know why, they're the only ones in the whole world not interested in it...
personally i don think they will do a thing as it cost money to broadcast - so if money from what they are showing is not sponsored they will not do for free, but good effort non the less - hope it happens...

I don't care where you're from. I'm from the former Yugoslavia, you don't see me petitioning for Yugo soccer do you?
So what was so offensive about my comment? The fact that the portugese market can't generate sufficent revenue for a national broadcast? oh yeah.... that's really cuttin deep how could I be so insensitive to speak in fact?
You have to consider airtime costs a buttload of money man. Its not free man. Say 200,000 extra subscriptions make it to golTV because of it's portugese braodcast. They may see about 10 cents from each subscription. That's an extra $20,000 per month. But they have to pay broadcast rights to the euro station, plus all the rest of the costs associated with being on the air. And in addition they have to forego the income from another potential broadcast (assuming they don't have 'dead air'). Say they can braodcast chinese soccer at the same time, there are a billion chinese, and I'm sure a LOT more chinese here in North America then there are portugese. So the chinese soccer would be a much better revenue generator.
These ppl aren't stupid. They are here to make money. Sorry if that offends the portugese Get over it...

You know I didn't ask for the rude comments. If you wanna sig a petition for all of the other stuff than go ahead cuz I know that I have. People like to talk smack but don't even sign petition's themselves at all. I have my petition going for entertainment purposes yes but tell me what the hell is wrong with that.
So thanks to all the people that have stuck up for me so far. Oh and by the way someone said that his satellite channels don't catch the Red Wings. YOUR DOING IT ALL WRONG.
So I hope that people could just stop with the ignorant and rude comments. IF YOU HAVE NOTHING NICE TO SAY, DON"T SAY IT AT ALL.

IMO all soccer is boring, no matter where the signal originates. I'm sure you might think my programming is boring, so that's cool. to each his own.
free to air???? so you are stealing a signal, AND you are petitioning for more if I could, I'd cut off your air supply hahaha
