Ordering Pizza in the USA in the year 2008

Operator:
"Thank you for calling Domino's Pizza.
May I have your national ID number?"

Customer:
"Hi, I'd like to place an order."

Operator:
"I must have your NIDN first, sir?"

Customer:
"My National ID Number, yeah, hold on, eh, it's
6102049998-45-54610."

Operator:
"Thank you, Mr. Sheehan. I see you live at 1742 Meadowland Drive,
and the phone number's 494-2366.
Your office number over at Lincoln Insurance is 745-2302
and your cell number's 266-2566.
Email address is sheehan@ home.net
Which number are you calling from, sir?"

Customer:
"Huh? I'm at ! home. Where d'ya get all this information?"

Operator:
"We're wired into the HSS, sir."

Customer:
"The HSS, what is that?"

Operator:
"We're wired into the Homeland Security System, sir.
This will add only 15 seconds to your ordering time"

Customer:
(Sighs) "Oh, well, I'd like to order a couple of your
All-Meat Special pizzas."

Operator:
"I don't think that's a good idea, sir."

Customer:
"Whaddya mean?"

Operator:
"Sir, your medical records and commode sensors indicate that
you've got very high blood pressure and extremely high cholesterol.
Your National Health Care provider won't allow such an unhealthy
choice."

Customer:
"What?!?! What do you recommend, then?"

Operator:
"You might try our low-fat Soybean Pizza. I'm sure you'll like
it."

Customer:
"What makes you think I'd like something like that?"

Operator:
"Well, you checked out 'Gourmet Soybean Recipes' from your local
library last week, sir. That's why I made the suggestion."

Customer:
"All right, all right. Give me two family-sized ones, then.

Operator:
"That should be plenty for you, your wife and your four kids,
and your 2 dogs can finish the crusts, sir. Your total is
$49.99."

Customer:
"Lemme give you my credit card number."

Operator:
"I'm sorry sir, but I'm afraid you'll have to pay in cash.
Your credit card balance is over its limit."

Customer:
"I'll run over to the ATM and get some cash before your driver
gets here."

Operator:
"That won't work either, sir. Your checking account's overdrawn
also."

Customer:
"Never mind! Just send the pizzas. I'll have the cash ready.
How long will it take?"

Operator:
"We're running a little behind, sir. It'll be about 45
minutes, sir.
If you're in a hurry you might want to pick 'em up while you're
out getting the cash, but then, carrying pizzas on a motorcycle can
be a little awkward."

Customer:
"Wait! How do you know I ride a scooter?"

Operator:
"It says here you're in arrears on your car payments, so your car
got repo'ed. But your Harley's paid for and you just filled the
tank yesterday"

Customer:
Well I'll be a "@#%/$@&?#!"

Operator:
"I'd advise watching your language, sir. You've already got a
July 4, 2006 conviction for cussin! g out a cop and another one I
see here on September for contempt at your hearing for cussing at
a judge." "Oh yes I see here that you just got out from a 90 day
stay in the State Correctional Facility.
Is this your first pizza since your return to society?

Customer:
(Speechless)

Operator:
"Will there be anything else, sir?"

Customer:
"Yes, I have a coupon for a free 2 liter of Coke".

Operator:
"I'm sorry sir, but our ad's exclusionary clause prevents us from
offering free soda to diabetics. The New Constitution prohibits
this.

Thank you for calling Domino's Pizza!"

Thats because they always feel threatened by something. It's like an elephant being scared of mice, somehow they get all worried and all of a sudden theres ******** telling everyone that the American way of life is threatened by whatever is happening in some poor country halfway around the world. You would think that the American public would have smartened up and stopped believing this bs after say Vietnam, Korea, Gulf War... but the government has that covered as well. When you spend all your money on your military, your education system guarantees that 90% of people are too ignorant to not go along with whatever you say as long as you ****** fear. It also makes recruitment easy, since these people can't do anything other than flip burgers or die for their country/Haliburton.

America doesn't want another super power to be created ... what would happen if the middle east actually became peaceful and the countries got together and united ... or one conquered the others to unite them ... America would have to worry big time ... since another super power would topple them ....

Well thats one way of looking at it. But do you really think that the Middle East will be able to amass the military strength of the USSR in its prime? Or even China in present day? They haven't destroyed the US and if you look at the USSR and its fall, it came from within. The Russians overstepped their bounds and the whole house of cards came down.

The world could use another superpower to balance out the US and you if you want to see it being formed you just have to look a little farther north from Iraq. The EU is looking to consolidate its defences with its new constitution and with the amount of money and trade which the EU holds they will be a formidable superpower if they can pull together without infighting. I'm glad I hold EU citizenship because in 10 years it will probably be a way better place to live than this continent. Canada is great now but the way the US is going, I can't help but think that we're going to get dragged down too.

Even with another superpower or two in the world, I would hope that the Cold War taught everyone some lessons on how to get along. Nuclear deterrence is already in place for most of the main players in the world so I think we'll be able to skip the arms race this time around. Now if they could just elect a calm, intelligent, cultured, diplomatic US president who didn't think that bombing A-Rabs was the funnest thing to do, I'd feel a lot safer. And no, John Kerry isn't the answer, he's just Bush-lite.

another super power is only good if it is against US policy and willing to back it's stance...

EU is not one of those places... they depend on the american economy too much because of their lack of resources...

China's a good bet but they too depend on America to buy their goods so that option is out really of america banned exporting to europe and importing from China both countries would feel a bit of a sting.... and as for the middle east ... like I said they lack unification however while they lack unification they do control the oil and america knows it can't survive without that .... so if the Middle east united under a common goal they could then easily amass the technology and manpower within a few years to easily become a super power america has to contend with .... those countries as is are super rich ... but they spend the wealth in the worst way on the royalty ...if only they'd unify then there'd be a super power for the USA to contend with ....

as for the Arms race I think it was the best thing for the world .... grew economies and the population like crazy.... yes the economy because of all the jobs required to build all those weapons... and the populations because it's human instict to have more sex when exsistance is in question. "hey look at it this way honey the world could end tomorrow lets have sex and enjoy the moment today" and presto 9 months later since the world hasn't blown up out pops junior. see the baby boom happened after world war 2 and started slowing down in the 70's ain't that interesting the cold war was at it's height in the 60's and was cooling off by the 70's and 80's there is a direct co-relation there I think.

personally an arms race would be the best thing for us these days... and the world won't blow up with that happening it will cause cooler heads to prevail... bush in power during an arms race would be a way different bush then we have today ...

Bush would have to think "well lets go oust Saddam"

and then the military advisers would tell him the other world power taht hates us would come to the aid of Saddam and is amassing troops to do so ... well now bush could say then we will bomb them .. and wait they have bombs too and we don't wanna risk our citizens lives... end result is Saddam is left alone the Americans leave the Persian Gulf and stand down and said other super power stands down as well..

just need a super power that doesn't relie on America for anything.

I don't know if any big power could be formed that wasn't dependant on the US in some way. They are a really good trading partner.

As far as an arms race, a conventional arms race would be fine, as long as nobody aims to be able to decimate the world 10x over. Be great for the economy and I'd get paid more if I did military work.

Oh well, all hell's going to break loose anyway in about 30-40 years when the oil runs out. Get your bunker built before then and stock it with a hot wife and 10 years worth of birth control and food.
