maybe, for me they rank about 3rd in the conference after Chicago and Detroit.

They may not be better, but they are just about there. Kevin Garnett is an absolute BEAST and Ray Allen has the smoothest jumper in the east if not the league. If they can stay healthy, their lack of depth shouldn't be much of a problem.
Raptors have got to show more grit to get past the brink.

JP - after last night still don't think delfino is any good? he made some good plays...
game last night was good, but you can tell they are very prone to streaks... one way or another... that big 19-2 run they ahd, and then in the 4th they gave up a 15-0 run...
they need to get a little better on D, and be able to pull out some big stops when their opponents get on a run instead of letting it continue with sloppy defence and such. when Mitchell called that timeout in the 4th when they were only up by 3 or whatever that's when the game changed, and the raps came back strong...
they're also too weak in transition... a huge opportunity for major points scoring by a team that's as quick as they are...
more driving is needed... if they could get one or two other players who can drive and slash regularly that would free up the outside more for some shots...
i know calderon and ford drive, but they're not big enough and don't do it enough regularly because they also have a shot... they need someone that will draw the D

Agreed, but I think if they step up the D, the things you mentioned about the offence with driving won't be a major issue, but they do need to attack more. The new additions fit very well. But time will tell on how they do, especially when their division has beefed up. They have a year together, so no excuses on knowing each other and their rolls.

yeah... the D will make up for alot of it no doubt...
but even right now I forget what the stat was but they take ALOT of shots vs layups/drive which is fine, but if for some reason one night their shots aren't dropping they'll be screwed... SCREWED...

Yep, that was their problem last year as well, they get comfortable with a lead, and get lazy. In and out all the time, that's what they need to do. But mainly defence and rebounding need to improve.
#39
yeah REBOUNDING!!!... they all shoot and start running back... they should have 4 guys crashing and 1 staying safety... no need to all start running back thinking they're hot **** and their shot is always going in cuz 1/2 the time it isn't...
last night they got lazy and stopped moving around the floor and just stood around...bah
