New RX8 in the family

Just went for a cruise in my bro's RX8. Thing is amazing. I don't like the way they look, but they drive so smooth, sound great inside, and the interior is one of the best on the market right now.

He's breaking in the engine so he couldn't really push it, but you could feel it. So smooth, and handles like an exotic.

Definitly a car worth getting over the WRX STI.

the RX8 is a large step up from any of those cars except the mustang gt. I take it he got a big raise? haha

nonetheless, having driven both cars, I have to say, I'll take the STI every day all day over the RX8. Heck, even a regular WRX with slight mods would be a tough choice. Simply cuz it's not as goofy lookin as the RX8.

Congrat on your brother's new purchase.

My little 2 cents, I don't like the look of it. FC/FD still has their surpeior exterior, especially FD. You never get bored looking at that car. Just like 6th gen hatch.

I bet it is one incredible machine. Again, congrats.

**oh, and my mother bought a Mini Convertable **

I hate the 350z with a passion. Stupid looking car IMO!!
But for styling I would take the G35

nice buy

Rx-8 is a nice car for sure. I just dont like the back doors. That has to be what i hate about the car that most people dislike.

worth getting over an STI?? I dont know about that. The STi is a much better overall built car which would smoke the RX-8 in a heat-beat!!!

I'm not a fan of the exterior much either, especially the colour. But inside, it's untouchable, and it drives so nice.

I've been in the STI, and other than the power #'s and potential for more power, I don't like it. Interior is cheap, seats are crap for comfort and bolstering, and I don't like the exterior at all. That huge wing is just tacky.

I rather take a regular WRX body over the STI.

The back seats in the RX8 are useable, well a lot more than the Tiburon haha.

And my bro's mustang was an oldschool '87 GT 5.0
I miss that car. Built like crap, handled crappy, but ***** out power all over.

I like the G35 coupe too. One of my fave cars for now. Bro wanted the 350, but the RX8 was a really great deal and had the better interior.

WRX with CF wing, my goodness, that's a killer combo. There is no need to compare a RWD car with STI. If anything, it should be more like S2K and RX8.

People seem to like compare power first, other than the classes.

Comparing a STI to even a regular wrx is unfair.. the sti is basically a stripped model car that is only built for performance.

Then to even compare the rx8 to the sti is like night and day.

I've heard really nothing good about those renesis rotors.

I do like those rx8's look though!

Wouldnt a SRT-4 run right along side the rx8?

Well, any of those cars is a step up from my ****ty *** 94 coupe. I'd love an eclipse GS-T or GSX though...thats my next car purchase for sure. I see more Ferrari's than 2g eclipses!!
