So my laptop has been being gay for the past couple months (2 months or so)


It gets REALLY hot, and when I say that, I really mean it. Like I could prolly fry an egg on the bottom of it and prolly fry an egg on my cursor pad (just the pad tho, nothing else ontop.

It has been booting up really slow as well and has also been randomly shutting off lately. I cant figure it off, like it'll just loose power or something, prolly overheating i'm assuming.


What could be happening? The laptop is only like only almost 2 years old.....


Wha da hell? Prolly covered under warranty still.......but I dont wanna loose all my pictures, music, etc. etc.


Any ideas?

buy a can of compressed air and clean it, if that doesnt work ur pwm might be messed up and not running the fan properly

Overheating laptops are not uncommon .. sounds like ur lappy isnt gettin enuff air circulation ...

and when it gets too hot it will shut off automatically to potentially save ur **** from frying ... turning it back on just heats it up more giving mroe chances to fugg it up ...

if its not on warrenty i would say get your fans inside looked at and see if theres alotta dust from maybe having it on the floor watchin pr0n and such ...

but yea its overheating.... period ... keep it up your whole lappy will fry ...

if you're using it on your bed, make sure you put a book underneath it, cause it doesnt get enough air to dissapate the heat

laptop stands are KEYY for using it for long periods of time ... liek when i DJ i have to have my lappy on a stand so that the air flows out the bottom/sides cause the hotter ur PC gets the slower it runs ... and having a slow PC is NOT GOOD when DJing lol

I'd look into upgrading your fans. Check out Canada Computers if your ever in the Eglinton+Mavis area, they're cheap.

accept your laptop for what it is, and it's sexual preference.

open it up and clear the 2 years worth of dust

that will help cool it down a bit

Make sure all of your fans are running in it also

prolly going to have upgrade the fans n such....

If the fan wasn't running you would most likely get a BIOS error stating something like "Fan Error".

As for upgrading the fan, I don't know if they make **** like that for laptops but I've never looked into it myself so I dunno.

^^ True .. ive never looked into upgrading my lappy either .. but if it was sold with the fans that it has then it should keep cool .. its prolly just gunked up with dust and excess sperm from your pr0n addiction !

ya they are
