More problems with my Streetwyze installed swap
A little custom shop in burlington named STREETWYZE did my b16 swap for me. In the 11 months since they've done the swap i've had a bunch of install-error related problems.
1) instead of buying the $23 integra lower rad hose, they just used my stock d16z6 one and attached a larger piece of random rad hose to the end of the stock one so it fit on the larger b-series thermostat housing. It started to leak where the larger hose attaches to the stock hose.
Knowing that streetwyze isn't willing to help out after i paid i figured i would just spend the $23 on the proper rad hose and fix it myself.
2) instead of buying the proper rear engine mount they just again reused the stock d16z6 one. Causing a chunk of my tranny casing to break off b/c only 2 of the 3 bolts that bolt the mount to the tranny were used b/c only 2 of the 3 bolt holes lined up properly
3) instead of going to honda to buy the proper 19mm bolt that holds the tranny to the mount (this is related to number 2) they used a 18mm bolt that is shorter and should be a 19mm bolt.
This is where streetwyze put which bolt. This is the correct bracket that is needed for the swap, but they didn't use this one.
4) right after my swap was complete my coolant was disappearing. Well it not exactly, it was all over the floor of my car. While removing the old engine they squished the brass hoses of the heater core causing coolant to enter my car.
5) they broke my shifter boot, the little plastic ring that is on the top by the shift **** is busted now, but wasn't before they touched my car.
6) they promised me i would keep my a/c, but instead of buying the del sol dohc vtec a/c bracket they just left the bracket off and the a/c lines dangling in front of the engine. Steve (aka Streetwyze) even made a post asking what they needed to do to keep the a/c with a b16 in a 95 civic. I even gave them the part number they needed.

So i've confronted them about this (specifically number 2) and they said they aren't willing to do anything b/c i had my mechanic replace the clutch. I spoke to my mechanic about when he replaced my clutch and he said that it was like this before he touched my car.
Bottom line is....in my opinion, from my experiences, the guys at streetwyze don't know ****!!!

I've got a friend who works for the burlington post and i've arranged a meeting with them to make an article in their paper about this whole thing.
I am also going to call the Action line in the hamilton spectator. They resolve issues like this and make an a$$ out of the shop in the paper for everybody to read.
Also, going to try the ministry of transportation see what they have to say about this.

yeah they told me "oh, we've done that before". But obviously they didn't b/c they ordered the wrong timing belt side mount, then had to order another one.
I'd love for Streetwyze (steve) to chime in and explain himself. But i can pretty much guarantee he won't.

boost?!?!?!
They are just as bad....heard some horror stories about them too. Little shops like that are shady. John is good with turbo's but thats about it.
Didn't do it myself b/c i had more money than motivation at the time. Should have though.

They also:
7) gave me a broken evap purge solenoid. They just glued the vacuum nipple back on but it broke a couple of days after the swap....mind you they did buy me a new one. But still tried to get away with cutting corners.
8) they left my map sensor dangling behind the intake manifold, which they also did with the evap purge solenoid.
9) the vacuum nipple for the t/b was busted so they just glued it back on.
10) jacked the price up after i gave them my $2500 cash deposit for the parts (which i now realize was a big mistake). Then when i told them i just wanted my money back b/c the parts where taking WAY longer than they said, they told me that there was a 25% restocking fee.
11) both of the "brand new axels from honda" have been replaced, one was before the 90 day warranty was up so it was on their expense, but the other was after the 90 days so it came out of my pocket.
Don't new axels from honda come with a 1 year warranty?
He said it was because i have all of this work done to my car and that the axels can't handle the extra power.....but the axels were replaced before this work was done. And i know people with turbo engines making well over 200whp using stock axels with no problems.
I know most of this happend a while ago, but i just want to share my experiences with streetwyze with all of you people.
