Michael Jackson

All I got to say is back in the day, he was the man when it came to music, video's and concerts.

Both my daughters love watching or listeninng to his stuff from the 80's.

Yesterday my younger one and I wacthed him on Much more music profile and she was amazed and loved the dancing in the video's

My older one is listening to History right now and loves his music.

No matter what, as far as I am concerned, his music and video's are timeless and I still enjoy listening to and watching him.

All the other stuff is sad and really too bad, but I like to remember him for what he did back in the day and revolutionized the music video's

The fact that both my daughter's who are heavily into dance love to watch what he does now and are amazed was a treat for me as I grew up idolizing him from the time he was young.

Was that the video where one face morphs into the next one? If so, it was a really creative video.

that video was black and white.

and yes like you brian i dont care what he does in his spare time or whatever.

if it wasnt for him alot of the people you see and hear on the radio and tv wouldnt exist today he made it possible for alot of people in the black community.

to this day the thriller video hasnt been topped by anyone from what i heard.

heh, quite true bro.

Yes, Thriller video is timeless, and so are many of his oldies. Same goes for Madonna.

His big album Thriller was probably the first one I ever bought with my own money. His music is still top notch even though he has some peculiar hobbies.

Yep, Thriller is THE video of all video's. Can't really say anything has come close. Black and White was revolutionary as well using the morph technology.

The ones my daughter and I saw last night was Billie Jean, still a wicked song and Remember the time, this video was also great along with Smooth Criminal the long version. His dance moves in any of his video's are uncomparable and to me the only a select few come close, but they are just imitating what he has already pretty much done.

Madonna, I would say has great concerts and she has her place in history, but Michael has been out since the late 60's..........think about that. That is incredible.

The other person I enjoy and think musically is phenomenal is Prince.

I like older Price but his newer stuff hasnt done it for me. Really anything for the 80's and early 90's is all good.

I found a link on the net the other day that had the top 200 songs of the 90's Everything for Nirvana to Snoop Dog was on it. Just reading the song titles brought back so many memories of my college days and partying beofre I met the wife.

Brian, we are old.

Tell me about it. I have 123 songs on one CD that I downloaded, all of it is from late 70's to the late 80's. And I never get tired of it. I have new stuff too, but for some reason, it gets old pretty quick. Love the old school stuff. Great part of it is, so do my kids.

Another thing, when MJ did Motown 25, some of you might be too young to remember, he did Billie Jean, I believe at that time that show was the most viewed show in history on TV and it boosted his Thriller albums sales back up to # 1.

That performance was amazing at a time when music stars were not as visible as they are today.

MJ is a wierdo but his music was really good. On the other hand older Prince (before he changed his name to a symbol) is amazing. He is also a little wierd but I love his music. I have watched Purple Rain over 20 times and could watch it again just for the music.

Yes boss! His concerts are awesome too! Sheila E playing precussion......oh yeah.

Yes Dawson, I listen to channel 8 for the 80's, also listen to 83 which is a bit of funk/disco/early hip hop so I get a mix of everything.
