Michael Bryant charged in cyclist's death...

TheStar.com | GTA | Michael Bryant charged in cyclist's death

So let me get this straight.... a dude on a bike gets mad, grabs onto your car, theres nothing you can do, you obviously try to shake him off thinking hes a psycho, he ends up under your tires, dies, and you get charged for it?

Am i COMPLETELY mis-understanding the story... ?
Im confused...is that what happened? ... Isn't that **** more considered suicide...

exactly....
i think once they review the tapes and take testimony, they'll have a better understanding of this situation.

but if the cyclist grabbed onto the passenger side headrest and there was a passenger there....i'd ****ing floor it too....

^ I would have done the same thing also. And then I would have counter-sued the dead cyclist for any damages to my car.

they said the cyclist had a run in with police before the incident

his girlfriend also called the cops on him because he was drinking and wouldn't leave her house.

if i break into your house and start raping your wife, you can't stab me 12 times with a knife and then throw me down the stairs. you'll be charged with murder if i die.

two things though to remember

1. "better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6"
2. accidentally killing is always better than attempting to kill on purpose.

---

i think cops should beat the protesting cyclists off the road with their nightsticks.

Predictably, the biker was an *******. Odds are he was not following traffic laws at the time of the accident, probably because he was drunk. His 61 outstanding warrants from Alberta really drive home what a winner this guy was and what society has lost here.

He spazzes, hits the guys car with his bag after a minor accident and then grabs onto the guys car. Dumb, dangerous, and ill advised. Again, no surprise from a bike courier.

Bryant thinks he's being assaulted and then proceeds to cross 4 lanes of Bloor street, endangering other drivers lives, endangering pedestrians, and then killing the cyclist on the side of a mailbox. If you've played GTA4, you've done this to a guy trying to recover his stolen car.

If the cyclist was not grabbing the wheel, or attacking Bryant in some other way that caused him to lose control of the car, then that is murder as far as I'm concerned. He could have accelerated to 20 km/h and then slammed on the brakes to dislodge the *******, but didn't. He purposely smashed a human being into an immovable object at speed, unless he wasn't in control.

In other predictable news, bikers closed off Bloor St. to hundreds of taxpayers, screaming something about sharing the road while not allowing people to use it, costing more in lost hours than they'll ever contribute in their lives and holding average citizens to account for a confrontation between an ******* and a motorist that ended horribly.

The police shouldn't use nightsticks, they should use power tools and cut their bikes to pieces as soon as they block traffic. They should do that, as well as handing out thousands of dollars in tickets, every last Friday of the month.

Media is claiming he left a buddies place where he was drinking *the biker* Police were called to that scene and forced him to leave the premises.

Odds are he was pissed and out of control, hence his removal from his friends place.

It's a shame he lost his life over it, but I don't blame the driver of the Saab for the accident. I would also preform the shake off if I felt it was needed. Especially if I got the vibe that the aggressor was drunk and violent.

Michael Bryant, was an attorney general before and played a big role in the 50 over racing law.
Remember what he said a few years back ??

"Just on the balance of probabilities if we can establish that a car is being used for the unlawful purpose of street racing, we will seize it and you will never see it again.
"We will crush your car, we will crush the parts."

"We don't need to wait until that car hits the road fully loaded,"

"If we can establish someone has parts and they're juicing up their car — obviously for the purpose of street racing — then we can seize those vehicles,"

Bryant said cars built for street racing are as dangerous as explosives, and can cause catastrophic damage.

Likening speed shops that make street racers to bomb factories or illegal drug labs, Attorney General Michael Bryant warns "juiced-up" cars could be seized and destroyed before even hitting the road.

One of my friends really despises this goof, Im sure alot of you do too.

Karma is a bitch ...LOL

Bryant's mentality is that he thinks any and all cars that are modified are solely for street racing.
My friend has a really really modified Crx K20 with ITB's, carbon rear J's racing wing, carbon J's racing hood, and a whole lot of Spoon parts .

I have nothing against mods on a car so long as it's kept strictly to the track...

if your friend is upset, then there must be a reason?

Im the friend he was talking about, I have never received any sort of ticket in 9 years of driving btw. Im not going to get into this but from your statement above you have absolutely NO idea about Michael Bryant or any of the current laws/bill passed or events of the past few years, nothing to do with so-called "Street-Racing".
