My brother and my sister in law are both mech-eng grads... my dad is a mech eng too. Bro did his undergrad at U of Waterloo, and sis in law did her masters at U of Waterloo... now my bro is doing his masters at U of Erlangen in Germany, and his wife is doing her PhD there. I did my Economics at U of Waterloo, but next Sept I'll most likely be doing Elec Eng at U of Windsor.

GM isn't even anywhere close to U of W. GM HQ is in fact over in Detroit, and there is a plant all they way across town.

Prepare to have no life during the school semester, because unless your a genius, it's non-stop studying (and thats just at Ryerson), but otherwise there's lots of job opportunities. Good luck.

well depends what course your taking, if its soemthing thats hard and you dont understand well than yes plan to be up studying alot, or you can slack off and fail.

So far this year in our class our mid terms have sucked, a couple of them out of 75 students only like 15 passed, and instead of saying how well you did, most compare how crappy they did.

Its hard material, specially when your teachers cant properly teach a class and just read out a god damn text book.

I have couple of buddies doing Eng, and let me just say this, if your in Science of Eng, either one, be prepared to do a shizit load of work. Eng students here (U of Windsor) have 6 classes first semester along with a nice load of 3 labs and 2 tutorials. Thats like taking 10 classes (3 hours each). Then the stuff they do isn't easy. The same goes for Sciences. I have so much work and labs are what waste a lot of your time. For some reason, Business students have it really easy.

As for why to come to University of Windsor, well we have the Big Three affiliated with the U, so if you keep your marks high, and get to know the right people, there are great chances u'll land a job with one of them. Chrylser dumps millions of dollars into the U and they have some real interesting projects always going on. If you want a list of profs to talk to for certain interests you may have, ask me and I can help you out. For Eng, Windsor's not a bad place.
