lol not really midlife crisis.. more like copycat
he still likes those bigass boats like older caddies, lexus ls, etc... but just apperently "needs" an SUV or else he will be the only loser without one |
If he gets a rx330 he will be the laughing stalk..."nice car sir, is it your daughters?"
|
Get the Escalade or the Navigator those are prestige trucks. The only other one I would look at is the Infinity qx56 or the fx45. The fx looks like a murano but meaner looking and the qx is just awesome looking,
|
i dunno about you i know forsure if i had enough money for an rx330 i'd be rollin in that.
It may be a girls car, but at the end of the day its a Lex and I'll be getting more bitches than all you guys. |

lexus rx330 imo not worth it. UNDERPOWERED BIG TIME.
if your dad's mind set is SUV's are better then cars because everyone at his work place drives a SUV sorry to say but your dad is dumb and naive. If your dad was to roll in with a 2000 and up lexus Gs300 (since he doesnt want v8) with 21 inch chromes and HID with an upgraded sound system. Believe me even your dad's boss will be ****ting bricks unless he owns a porche cayanne turbo |
lol trust me i know.
power isnt an issue with him because he doesnt need anything fast and doesnt need to haul ass. |
old indian real estate agent mentality:
- truck > car (its bigger and badder, therefore better) - luxury nameplate > normal nameplate (doesnt matter if its better or worse or the price difference) - mercedes > * (no matter how ****ty it is, its a benz therefore the best) - acura < * (acura is jsut a honda, but for some reason lexus isnt just a toyota and infiniti isnt just a nissan) thats the basics of it, then you get into crazyness like "i cant have that car because ___ has it!" and other small things but hey, its he worked for his money so he should use it how he wants. |
big infinity like q45 (4dr ssedan)
or a gs300/400 from 2000+ year. |

2000 Toyota 4runner, my rents just got one, a nice SUV
|
I still fail to see how it is "luxerious" to drive a truck or SUV, I don't care if it has every feature, leather, wood trim...in my mind, it still looks tacky rolling up in something soo high off the ground and awkward looking and stiff suspension. I don't care how much they cost,
tell your dad to go get a used Maxima or something, in my mind an SUV (specifically a luxery SUV) says "I have more money than brians".....even something like a Murano (not really an SUV) would be preferable... |

Thank you Toyota! |

Re: Lux Truck/Car Choices?
Originally posted by hdave infiniti QX4 is on the top of the list right now Your not going to go wrong by getting an Infiniti  |
rx330 gets my vote (nice truck with a good nameplate)
navigator is a POS and dont even get me started with the expedition, it is a gass guzzling pos. the qx4 has a little prestige to it (being an infiniti) and they go for dirt cheap. and i love the damn denali, big ass truck that looks amazing (despite gas consumption) |
update:
he isnt getting a used QX4 anymore. top of the list is a lexus RX330 demo. the list pretty much doesnt have any other SUVs anymore because he seems to be set on this now. lease price is looking to be around $600/mo tax in with his current car as a downpayment and a 21,650 buyback which is pretty good. this is for the luxury packege, which he might want to upgrade to the package higher than this (forgot what its called) |
