Lux Truck/Car Choices?

Hey

My dad is looking to get a used luxury truck for around 25,000.

he just might get a car too, but he really wants a SUV.

what would you guys suggest?

must be 2000 or newer
as low km's as possible (must be under 80k)
absolutely no acura mdx, he doesnt like the idea of driving a honda

infiniti QX4 is on the top of the list right now

personally my favourite newer SUV is one of those K1500 Yukon Denali XL's, they get something like 11-12 mpg city tho

Mercedes M class? BMW X5? That should give you enough class. Not sure how much an used Caynne would go for, but that's baller, eh?

If crossovers are appealin gfor your dad, perhaps a used 03 Nissan Murano (Its a 3.5L V6). Most fuel efficient V6 in Canada with CVT.

Thos are pretty nice rides but he did say no V8's so I guess they're out of the question.

My friend's parents have a Volvo XC90. They are pretty good, the look grows on you. Depending which year you are looking at there is an i5, v6 and v8 (twin-turbo!).
Also, the Lexus RX is alright too.

- mercedes m class is out cuz its so butt ugly and a unrelaible peice of **** that cant hold its value
- bmw x5 is also very unreliable, but cost too much for him
- he wont do domestics anymore
- he thinks the murano is too ugly
- toyota turns him off, hes rather pay extra cash for the same truck and a lexus badge lol

ok lol
he upped his budget cuz he cant get **** for 25k lol

were looking into a rx330 demo model, and since he can claim upto 800/mo lease, we will most likely find a used 04 rx330 or maybe a demo or somehting like that. dunno just yet.

but now that i finally convinced him to check out the rx330, he loves that thing

haha.. i love those kinds of attitudes.. it's like saying "i will not talk to anyone who may have at one point originated in africa"

do you realize most of those would actually be built in north america?

why discount all domestics as one? they vary from one model to the next.

get a used escalade if you want presige. a "japanese" suv doesnt offer any prestige

Im a fan of the X5 personally, but an X5 that doesnt have a V8 is IMO for hoo hoo wanna be cool guys, that sweat when they see the price tag on a loaded X.

i dont think an SUV is worth it either

but he "needs" one because every other damn real estate agent in his office has one and he cant have a car which is "crappier" than a SUV
