I had a siamese <--- by nature they are quite finicky and hard to deal with. Mine was AMAZING!! Your other cat is a tabby - typical household cat. They are popular for their easy-going personality. I currently have a Himalayan/Persian mix. He's a baller 
Very demanding but also very rewarding cat to have. He loves to be pet or brushed, but he doesn't like to be picked up. Also gets matted a lot and he loves to get his grind on (he's a stud) so he's often involved in fights. But he's a big boy and kicks some serious ***. I remember when he was just a kitty I saw this big *** cat on top of him just feeding him shots - I was outside washing my car. So I ran full tilt and just punted the other cat like I was playing the Superbowl (since the other cat was on top). But now he's a big boy and can take care of himself. He's also got all his claws and he knows what to do with them, but he's super gentle with us. He's never scratched any of us.
