man this is so weird. I just finished mounting the EXACT same tv today in a home in milton.

It was above a fireplace though go figure.

Aswell they had in ceiling front/centre and rear speakers, + a 10" in ceiling subwoofer, because the room was all open concept.

XBR3/2 is meh... although a good TV, I would go for the Pioneer plasmas instead.

Pioneer Plasma + Toshiba HD-A2 = Amazing
Pioneer Elite Plasma + Toshiba HD-XA2 = An experience I would like to have

Why do you say that?

The picture on a plasma is far more superior than on a LCD. A Sony XBR3/2 is probably a better choice than most plasma televisions, except for the Pioneer.

My job was to educate (no I was not a salesman) HDTVs and I have spent approximately 500 hours in a HT department + additional training.

Plasma vs. LCD will always be an ongoing debate here on TCC aswell as everywhere else. I have both and my plasma is way better then my LCD. Personal choice I guess.

I will definatly say I did like the Pioneer more but it was about 5K.
So I decided to go with Samsung, but 1 week after I put a deposit down I got a job @ Sony. So I got my deposit back and went all Sony.

LCD wise I think the XBR2/3 are the best on the market.

once you bring the TV home...the debate of which one is better goes out of the window. its like inline-6 is better than V6 or vice versa...the opinions are always divided.

so gotti..when its going on the wall?

Finally got it on the wall and picked up the stereo. Been soo busy with packing up my condo cuz I am moving into this house tomorrow..so I had to paint and get it ready for when I move in.Now just have to set the stereo up and buy a small table. The white cable is the HDMI cable, gotta get a wall plate for that.

Yuck, a dream system. You purchased the best LCD on the market and opted for a mediocre surround sound system?
