of course

they are increasing prices so that they can take advantage of the lower GST.

i.e. whatever we "should" be saving through the 1% GST reduction can be turned into a 1% increase in profit for whatever company that sells goods and services.

In the end, we pay the same, but they make an extra 1% on all purchases.

government = above all

they make it seem like they are there for us and say they will give us a tax break, the other companies increase their costs and the government in turn recieves a kick back from them. It's a big circle where the government gets money, we lose money, and the government trys to cover it up and pretend they are on our side. F$ck the government and all their scams.

definition of government: The act or process of governing, especially the control and administration of public policy in a political unit

we must unite and cast away the shackles of society...some way, some how, i will...and in my wake, i will leave the secret of success.

its funny, but not ha ha funny.

I'm really looking forward to the increase of property tax, its not like i don't pay enough of that already. And when i need something from the city, you think they give a damn? Hells no.
They gotta make up for the drop in tax somehow, wether it be increase in property tax, income tax, gas tax, or whatever.

Why are your land tax so low? Do you live in a shed? Lol.
Anyway, ours is like around $2800, so it'll go up close to an extra $100/yr.
