the more i played with the iPhone the more of a joke it became to me.

No GPS
No one touch dial
No voice dialing
No MMS support

The "virtual keyboard" is such a joke that you need the fingers of a 5 year old to use it properly and it requires your full attention when using it because of all the mistakes you keep making on it.

The web browsing over the EDGE network was slow as ****. If you're not browsing over wifi don't even bother.

The safari browser was supposed to be all nice and some of it is...like the way you can zoom into certain parts of the webpage. The problem is that it doesn't always format it properly and you end up having to keep scrolling sideways to read the column because the stupid browser didn't wrap the words onto other lines.

Not everything on the device works in landscape (when you hold the iPhone like a PSP instead of a phone).

There's no external mute button and that stupid sensor that supposed to actually ANSWER your calls for you when it senses the phone being close to your face doesn't work properly.

The email functionality is a joke. Not only the fact that there is no real support for corporate email, but even the POP3 and IMAP is a joke because it's not real "push" email and the fastest you can set the device to check for email is every 15 minutes. On top of that, it only stores a maximum of 200 emails which for me is like 1.5 days of email.

This next point was really funny to me too. If you have an iPod, you know you can use it as a memory stick. Why in the *** wouldn't the iPhone be able to do the same with 4GB-8GB of memory available? What kind of joke is that?

The OSX or whatever is supposed to be running on the phone takes up a good 700mb or so of your space too btw.

Honestly, after getting to play with one I now know what Apple dicked around with every journalist in the world who wanted to review it before it came out. They didn't want bad reviews spoiling the insane amount of hype that they created with this thing.

Mediocore phone at best.

Its not misleading?

Are you joking?

They market it as a world changing and revolutionary phone yet its missing features found in phones that you can get for free

^^ They must have studied their demographic and found that voice and one touch dialing aren't widely used among them...and like u said the next gen ones will probably have less design flaws, as is the case with the majority of these kinds of things.

Which brings me back to my statement earlier of telling people to way for the next revision

Ps lol who doesn't want one touch dialing? You don't use speed dial on your phone? I'm pretty sure that isn't a valid argument

It's not a valid argument, cause I'm not arguing, and I never said I didn't use speed dial on my phone. I'm just bringing up a possible justification to your statement.

speed dialing and one touch dialing are two different things

im talking about one touch dialing

i.e. hold a key down on your phone and it calls whoever is programmed to that number

having to browse to your favorites and selecting a name isn't one touch dialing nor would i want to have to use that touch screen to try and do that while im driving

and terry, if you don't like my reviews of the phone (from the only person on here whos actually played with one) you dont have to come back to the thread

secondly, why do you keep bringing up RIM? that's getting really old. Everyone knows that they aren't even geared towards the same market.

its thier first phone, give it a little while for them to work the bugs out...

For a personal phone I think it does most of what a lot of people need...

hahah whatever man

you guys are all in denial

just because you dont think one touch dialing isn't useful that doesn't mean the rest of the world agrees

im just brining up different things about the product that I noticed it doesn't have, but should.
