research alot and just dont go to the interview and explain what your good at, explain how your skills will benefit that position and what you would do for the position, not an overall skill level.

Revise your resume to make it look very good for that position. When I was searching for a job, by the end of it, I had 3 to choose from, all wanted me, and I chose this one and I am pretty proud about that....

Wear a decent suit and tie. Ask questions. Lean forward and sit with your hands open in front of you. Bring supporting documents to show your qualifications.

If you have an interview already, then the resume changing is not important.

You will get questions that will test your technical knowledge, especially things pertaining to the job itself.

You will get general questions are yourself. Name 3 things you do very well. 3 Traits.. 3 things you need to improve about yourself. etc....

Prepare questions you have about the job. If you don't have any, make some up. Don't focus on pay, ask a detailed questions about the technology. Ask about growth in the position, and anything else that you want to know.

Be positive, assertive, believe that you are 100% fit for the job. Be careful of your UHHH, and UMMs. Too much of that leads to doubt...

Thanks for the advise the interview went well...he said he will recommend me for a 2nd interview and they will be contacting me asap.
Only prob is I think my current job pays more, since its a much much larger company..u would u leave to make less cash if u were doing a better job and learning more ??? And then in turn making more later ?

All depends on what you want to do. If in the long run it's going to help you, then yes. If you haven't been at that job for a long time, and the difference isn't that significant, then I think yes. Ya never know, the old company may offer you something else in turn.

i have refused calls/recommendations for interviews (not exactly job offers) at non-big five banks, fund, ins. companies for potential higher pay.....

the reputation of the org. you work for makes alot of difference down the road. salary is important....but its not everything. boredom is just round the corner in our lives...

1. whistle a tune when you walk into the office

2. give your potential employer the "wink and the gun"

3. if the employer has a dish of candy out, take a piece... it will show that you have compatible taste, and therefore he will want to hire you..

4. don't forget: if the potential employer has a picture of their spouse on his/ her desk, compliment them by saying "looks like you picked a good one!"

5. you should always brush your teeth first

6. it is always a good idea to bring a coffee for the interviwer; it shows that you are generous

7. don't be afraid to crack a few jokes; no one likes a stiff
