What were you thinking dealing with someone with out proper protection?

What’s the first rule????

ALWAYS PUT ON YOUR GLOVES BEFORE TOUCHING ANYONE

On a lighter note

If the cut was scabbed up and over a day old 90% chance you got to it in time

Zack use your head next time
100% agree here. I think you will be OK, HIV requires a high concentration in the blood to pass on, now hepatitis C would be a scarier story.

one of my friends had to go through testing a couple of years ago.
we were at a rave one night and he got pricked w/ a needle, that really screwed him up. there was some kind of drug in it.
well the doctors gave him an HIV test just to make sure that the person who did this didn't infect him w/ anything else. he had to go for four tests (every 3 months) over a year period before the doctors could confidently say that he was not infected. thankfully all the tests came back negative and he's fine.

Agent Orange - I hope that everything will work out for you

hope you get better. Same thing happened to me. Stopped a fight were the guy had a gash on his head. Didn't notice until after that i had his blood all over my hands, and i have an open cut.

Went for tests, they said the results would take a month, never got a call back. Things will work out. You did something good and saved a life, good luck.

Hi all....

I got the call today ...so far so good but like people said before i have to go back every 3 months for a year...

Im much happier now...and deffinatley not nearly as nervous...

and erle...i know all about gloves but i wasn't in my car and this guy really really really needed help asap.

Personal safety aside...when someone else is in trouble i just go into auto pilot and help others.

by the way Thanks rich...

Good job. You helped someone out and the heavens may have helped you.

Consider it last year man and start fresh. All the best.
