Ice
This is good info
I ran across this simple idea and wanted you to know about it. I had wondered the last time I filled my phone directory how a stranger would know which contacts were family members.
The London bombings have caused a simple idea called ICE to ****** rapidly around the world. ICE is an acronym for "in case of emergency," and it involves your cell phone.
After the London bombings, many of the injured and dead had cell phones, but emergency workers had no idea which one of the names listed in the phone addresses should be called. Maybe they would call a parent with Alzheimer's with news that their child was involved in the disaster. All the names listed in your cell phones look the same, so who is the next of kin?
Inserting "ICE" before the proper contact names on your cell phone prevents emergency workers from wasting valuable time searching through a wallet or purse trying to find the right person. The acronym also can be placed with names in an address book.
"ICE" should be placed before more than one name in event the first person being called does not answer.
A side benefit to this idea is that it also lets a finder know who to call in the event you lose your cell phone.
It also is important to keep your ICE information up to date.
This simple idea came from Bob Brotchie, a clinical team leader for a London ambulance service. He began promoting the idea back in April, but after the London bombings the idea began spreading by e-mail.
This idea is so simple and logical as the best ideas always are. We recommend that you stop now and enter ICE before a few names in your cell phone or in your address book.

Hahaha... on my cell I've always had an entry called "Home" that should do the trick.
If I ever got some kinda memory loss for any reason, or if I lost my cell it would be easy to find.

I agree....Home works for me....or if there's issues...the can call "Mom & Dad"
I'm sure my parents will know what to do and who to contact.

even if they can't be reached i don't think i would put ice infront of a bunch of peoples names, like bruno said i don't want everyone finding out that something happened to me, what if they don't have my parents number? the cops will stop calling once they've contacted somebody, and your parents might never know...
