I love my car...
...again!!!
Some of you are aware that for the past little while I've been experiencing some problems with the performance of my SiR. Those problems were engine hesitation when I shifted into 2nd gear, a distinct clattering sound while excellerating in 1st and 2nd gear, and a grinding noise and vibration while turning and excellerating. I'd been putting off taking it to the dealer for some time, since I wanted to reach Honda's recommended mileage for the first oil change, and I was hoping that the 'check engine' light would come on, so there'd be a solid form of evidence that the car had a problem. As I expected, the light came on while driving on Friday night, and coincidentally, the odomoter was just a couple 100 kms shy of 8000.
I finally took the car to the dealer this morning, got the oil changed and had them inspect the problem. Just as I suspected, it was a malfunction of the vtec sensor. They simply cleared the code and now all the noises, hesitation and vibrations are gone... just like that! The service cost me $35.27 all together, and my car once again drives like it did when I first got it.

I've never heard of a person not loving their Honda car. Yours is the money peice in the lineup right now, but being the first year of production, there is bound to be some issues. And built in the UK....I'd be weary...those drunken hooligans j/k
Nice car, I hope you plan to mod it lots
