HTC Touch
Just checked this phone out a few days ago...looks nice and i have been reading reviews and features on it for the past several days. Who else is feeling this phone besides me? I like the size and the functions (wifi, camera, media player, camcorder functions, messenger etc.) It is being offered atm by Rogers and Bell. The Bell plan is like $35 bucks for 200 daytime, ulmtd evenings from 6PM, ulmtd wknd....including VM, CD and the annoying 6.95 system fees.
PLUS PLUS PLUS
Unlimited wifi for $7 per month....this part was hard to believe. The phone itself is retailing for $150 (Bell) and $199 (Rogers) for a damn 3 year term...but Rogers's data plan is different and expensive. What do you guys think? A good deal/value for the price.
I really liked the BB curve and the BB 8130 but considering the price difference monthly for WIFI b/w rogers and bell......its worth a second thought.

hey neb...the phone itself is wifi capable but i just figured that its not GSM...its CDMA. i know GSM has alot of advantage over CDMA but i have been simply thinking that unlimited internet for $7 is just too freaking good a deal.
having said that...moving from GSM to non-GSM is tough one for me? would anyone recommend doing that? according to the sales guy.....bell's phone as well as wireless service is pretty strong.
lastly...the phone will work only in north america and not outside. this doesnt really a problem cuz i typically buy a prepaid chip for my gsm phone whenever i travel abroad.

Is the $7 unlimited only with the NTC or all bell phones? I used to have bell, no complaints really except the fact that I had to keep the same phone for 3 yrs :\
I am with rogers right now and I love that I can buy a new phone whenever without having to get a new contract.
I've got a blackberry...that $7 unlimited would be friggin great...

Rogers has an unlimited data plan for $15 bucks. If your a rogers customer and feel like your paying too much. You should call the retention department and to renegotiate your plan. If you do so, you can get some pretty good deals.
You guys can check out the deals.

FYI, it's a super long thread.
The first page will tell you about the retention program. The last few pages will have all the deals ppl have been getting recently.
Cheers!

the best data plan rogers has at the moment is 65bucks for 1gb which they claim only works for their aircards but works on the phones aswell...which is still a total rip off in comparison to anything bell or telus is offering at the moment and against anything in the states too

thanks for all the feedback so far...i guess i will stick with rogers...as i just have two more months of contract left. i am now thinking towards getting an unlocked gsm phone outright instead of getting into this three year focking crap again.
i find it amazing that not one person i talked to (and i spoke with bell users too) recommended getting a bell plan. seems they really suck *****.

If you stay within your plan, it's all good. I've got a corporate with rogers:
$25 a month
Unlimited Eve after 6pm
200 daytime
free voice mail and call display
free weekends
If I stay within it, the most my bill has been was $38 with taxes and the queer fees they charge. I have only done one hardware upgrade with them, phones are cheaper online and I don't have to extend any contract.
