How old is your computer ?
Bought my Dell Dimension 4300 Pentium 4 in year 2000.
Upgraded from Windows ME to Windows XP Pro 2 years ago.
Added 750mb of RAM.
...and still going strong.

end of 2003, bought an HP a250n - still totally stock inside. at the same time, bought an HP printer, and Day*** 19 inch LCD.
actually just today I was looking at getting another gig of ram, it's pretty cheap, like $100-120 it would cost me.

My HP desktop is about 5 years old. I upgraded the RAM, 19" Samsung flatscreen monitor and wireless keyboard/mouse. Perfect for what I need it for.
My Gateway notebook is only 2 years old, but it serves its purpose. I use it for documents and the internet. Its getting very slow starting up and opening programs, etc. I think it needs an upgrade of some kind. Any ideas?

1.3 ghz Dell Dimension 8100 from 2000. I was in grade 9. Only upgrades are upping the memory to 384 megs, a usb 2.0 card and card reader and a 250gb external hd. Slow but whatever, I'd rather spend the money on other things.

anyways, I use about a 2 year old IBM/Lenovo Thinkpad...big piece of garbage...my next computer will definitely not be reliant on Windows for its primary OS, right now I'm resetting at least twice a day because it just starts acting stupid...next one is either going to be a Mac or something running Linux (Ubuntu most likely, seems pretty good)...
