Horray for brainscans!

So yea.. I've been having horrible headaches for 2 weeks now and there was a lot of pressure in my head. I was taking 12-14 tylenols/advils a day just to get through a full 8 hour shift at work. I thought it was a sinus infection so I brushed it off. Went to the doctor 2 days ago because it was hurting so much and a blood vessel broke in my eye. It turns out I have a lump/swelling in the back of my head that could be serious swelling in my cerebral cortex causing pressure on my brain. I have to get brainscans on Tuesday. I will let you know how it turns out. If I die you can part out the LX but give pinkie to my bf... just as a joke. He'll love that...

not funny to joke about, I know people who have died with similar problems, all it took is that blood vessel to break in your brain and you would be gone

..... thats how it started for my father.. headaches.

Turned out to be a brain tumor. He died shortly after at the age of 36.

That was '96, stuff has changed, and they haven't ruled that its a tumor for you yet. I pray for ya that everything goes well.

Alex, it IS serious...If caught early it can save the persons life, Kathryn it was smart to go to the doctor. Good luck with your scan, anyeurisms (sp) are dangerous, but fully operable. My Aunt had two removed, and recovered completely. Unfortunately the operating doctor didn't notice the third one growing. However, a lady at my work, her sister had one removed ten years ago and she is fine.

Anyway you are on the path to healing.

Good luck...the scan is a walk in the park; they'll make a quick diagnosis...you'll have every chance of being fine.

Best of luck to you.

sorry for painting such a blunt picture. But its true...I know its not a serious situation for yourself...you will be fine. But it was too close for confort for you im sure. good luck with everything, you will be fine

ive had many serious problems and I thought they where going to be majour...but when they test and find out...its nothing more then your typica " insert problem here"

its all in your head...you blow up the situation to expect the worst.

Nah man you don't want it. It has 286,000KMs on it and burns oil. You could rebuild it I guess and/or rip it apart for parts. You can have my steelies though. they are nice. even have a little H in the middle for honda. I got sent home early from work today cause I had a nosebleed. HMM things are getting stranger and stranger. I bet everything will be cool though. You gotta prepare for the worst but hope for the best. there is nothing I can do about it. Sometimes we get dealt shi*ty cards in life.... but there is always someone worse off than I.
