....hole in one....

....hole in one....
So I was just watching TSN this morning and noticed that Alexander Ovechkin got a hole in 1 the first time he has ever played golf. They showed him swing about 8 times and miss the ball each time. Then on a different par 3, he got a hole in one !
How is that people that play all the time strive to do this, but then a person that has NEVER played before, get it their first time!?
Anyone that has played golf, know it is a tough game to play....so dont say "its because your ****"

all it is is beginners luck.
when you start out, you have no idea what you're doing so you just swing and hope for the best.
as an intermediate player you have an understanding of the game so you're focused on the perfect shot. along with knowing what you're doing so it can go good or bad.
to be able to pull that off you either have to be a beginner and depend on luck or be a pro, where you know what you're doing and can put the ball where you want it. it's always harder for an intermediate player because you want to be good, so it throughs you off if it makes sence.

Personally I find golf is a pretty easy game to play. I usually end up winning with a really high score.
Anyway what Ovechkin did was really nothing I haven't done before. I was playing Links 2004 for my Xbox and I ended up getting a hole-in-one a few times on career mode.
Holes-in-one are really pretty over-rated.
See, the real skill is in how good of a putter you are. When Szuberi and I went golfing, he was a way better putter than I was. That is why he won.
