Question Global Economic Crisis?

Has anyone on the board lost their job due to the current economic situation? Or a large part of their investments or equity? I was thinking about how I last month i got the highest paying job i've ever had, and wondering if the crisis hasn't really effected the GTA (other then Oshawa) then same as other parts of the country.

The bailout for the auto industry is a terrible idea.
So you give them money so they can keep making cars that people are not buying, what a genius idea

They should do the following:
-totally abolish the union, it has way too much power as it is
-cut wages drastically
-start making good quality (and reliable) vehicles

My work has been slow for the past few months. I'm positive things will turn around, but "when" is the questions.

Speaking of the auto bailout, did you guy hear how the Big three CEO's each took private jets to the bailout meeting?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1BKb8MI_tKU

If they are hurting for money, how are they affording private jets to zip them around? IMO not the brightest guys out there.

The 1st time I saw one of those stickers was on a Chevrolet Uplander during light traffic on the QEW East. While on the driver's right side, I motioned to her to lower her window, and asked her: "Broken down yet?" She shook her head. I replied: "Keep buying domestic!"

lol This is all a scam, there really is no Crisis, its a scam, Just like gas price how come if it was so in demand 2 months ago and still is in demand its so much cheaper now cuz of what??

The US spends over 1000 billion dollors into the army each year , lol but the 500 billion to help the country is so hard to come up with?? lol
pull back on the army bring em home and there you go money is there.

Other then that Get rid of Unions lol , any one with them should be fired.

look at the York TA's and GA's getting paid over $63/h and they went on strike saying they make to little. lol

and want 40% more?? lol

Gm cant afford to make cars for the same reason you got 100,000 of lazy workers doing fu@k all, and getting over paid, then the cars are also faulty and crap,
Honda Toyota no Union, people work hard for their money get great money, make better cars and sell more works for them

Unions are for stupid people to keep their job,

and the reason for this whole Crisis if you say that its real is to much middle class,
Make the poor dead middle class poor, rich richer

so smile and have fun while you can

and to tell you guys something i dont like GM at all but honestly lol i have a 95 civic insurance was stupid high , change to a accord same thing lol
i could have a GM , for... for a hell of a lot cheaper on insurance and the ammount i would save on it would fix the car if it was to break down.

you just dont look at the big picture you. your paying 1 way or another,
500 to fix the car or 500-800 more for insruance

Trust me i hate the stickers to, but people dont understand anything,

Canada is made up of a couple types of people

people that understand and wanna do something 2%
people whom understand and dont know what to do 2%
people who dont understand, dont know, and are so called wimps whom wont stand up for their rights 96%

look at all the new laws

2- 17 year olds can not be in the car driving toughter, why is that? more cars more pollution?

children can no longer be on motorcyles with their parents??

over 50 you lose you car ..$10000 fine well did you know that this law also works for more then just over 50km also whatever the police man thinks could be stunting such as change lanes to often for his liking lol.

but yet people dont say anything, I thought it was inecent until proven guilty??
whoops i guess now that's change.

all i can say is keep it up Canada, this is just the start.
