and use the $ to improve the TTC, and other methods of transportation into and out of the city

boom ... i dunno how bad the conditions are .. but when i drive it, it seems fine ... the odd divid and un even-ness in a few places but worth scrappin ... hell nah ...

I think it improving gardiner will help public transit... well at least go buses cuz i take dem. tcc subway seems to be fine.

^ how do you figure? it's gonna cost $2B to do that.. and they're still going to have to maintain whatever road/tunnel they build in it's place..

Thats a different type of flood. I'm talking a nice tropical feeling in Toronto, with perma sunny days, coconuts, pina coladas, jet skis bootin' around, girls tanning on boats toplesss.....

I don't quite envision Toronto like that, even if everyone was on jet-skis for the 2.5 months of summer that we get each year.

I would like to see it scrapped... it just looks so ugly, maybe they could actually do somethign nice with that land instead. I remember years back they had this image in the Toronto Star with what Toronto could look like without the Gardiner in the way of the waterfront and it was awesome! I never take the TTC so I couldn't care less about it. Unless whatever they plan on doing with the TCC lowers trafffic significantly.
