yea basically i have like 13,000 lines that i have to go thru and take out the lines that say bulk after the dimentions

ie 12 x 3/4 BULK CASE

i need the formula to go thru take out all the lines that BULK is shown and group them all togehter .. so i dont have to go thru and seperate em all bit by bit ..

i'm confused as to what you're saying... if you want it to highlight then that's easy just use conditional formatting... if you want to group them all together just sort alphabetically..

a formula won't do things in the sheet for you, it only calculates numbers, values, etc...

nah nah trust me excel is powerful !
its not only good with numbers ..

it would be as easy as sorting alphabetically but the problem is that the word that im sorting by isnt at the beginning of the cell silly it comes AFTER the dimentions so if i sorted by that cell it would organize em by the smallest dimention to the largest not even using the word bulk as part of the sorting factor ...

i'm sure it can sort, but it's not through a formula that it would sort... your terminology is way off that's all

Sort then delete or hide.....If statement calculate and add,

Example: If something is greater than or equal to 50 but not bigger than 60, then let it be "D". Or if F4 is between 50-59, let it bet "F".

Cant delete cells with if statements

i basically have to go down column C and find all the instances of the workd BULK .. if i see BULK then i gotta seperate it from the items that dont say BULK ...

cause we are only using the items that come in BULK ... fastest way to do that ?

hahahaha listen .. i have the level 2-3 excel books here im juss too lazy to crack em .. and even when i took em outta the plastic i woudlnt know what function to look for ... theres gotta be a way to do this .. like IF "cell" = BULK then Something ...

and this is like 3% of my job .. i know all the other functions in excel i just get comfuffled once the sorting factor is based on info that isnt at the beginning of the cell ...

Ok so ... so far ive been able to FIND and replace the cells that say BULK to the colour RED ... looks like thats sa far as i can get with sorting ...

is there a way to FIND & REPLACE by keeping the existing info there but just switchin it around ...

so say the cell says 1x2x3 BULK ...

can i say FIND BULK then replace with BULK *

* = the dimention that was already in the cell to begin with ?
