Expect to pay around $10-$12 US for the toll route road. (if you go from end to end)

You could also go east on the 401 and cross into the U.S. at the 1000 Islands bridge. Can't remember the exact Interstate highway # this will put you on, but you can take it south straight to the NY thruway (I-90). I find the 1000 Islands bridge to be less busy than the bridges in the Queenston/Niagara/Ft. Erie area most of the time.

But it's a creeeepy drive at night since it's totally empty without street lights for like 2 hours

and the bridge i mentioned in my directions has virtually no lineup at all

Well I've only ever taken in the daytime.

Thats true though, the Lewiston/Queenston bridge is usually pretty good since alot of people don't seem to know about it and cross at the Rainbow or Ft. Erie bridges instead.

Probably about the same, depending on bridge traffic. It is cheaper though, because you only have to pay toll once you get on the thruway (I-90) in Syracuse as opposed to paying from Buffalo onwards.
