ya man, why the hell would a government get rid of a tax on gas that is making them alot of money. plus they just agree'd on TTC funding out of that too, so even provincial will not cut it.

its one of those things, ya wanna drive, ya gotta pay. over $1 a litre is pricey, but it just makes me glad i drive a small car that good on gas.

If the petition were to compensate small business owners then maybe they'd get somewhere, but no way they are going to lower it for everyone, let not forget government owned Petro so they made money that way too before selling their shares.

Until gas prices in North America hit $3+/litre like in Europe, we don't really have any basis to complain.

it would be nice to see gas prices drop, but I don't see that happening any time soon.

if the extra $3 it costs for you to fill up your tank is really hurting your wallet that badly, then maybe you should think twice about owning a vehicle.

its not an extra $3 for sure... 0.85/L and 1.00/L is like 15cents.. the smallest tank will atleast make a $6 difference.. i guess to most people an extra $25-$30 (based on 40L tanks owner) are problem.. . not that we need second thought on owning a vehicle, just that we need time to adjust to the change in gas price... our salary is not raising and most people doesn't have high flexibility in money like they can reduce $50 spending in utilities and put it in gas... its like most people is just making enough to maintain their everyday life which includes owning a vehicle, mortgaging a house, feeding themselves and/or a family! that's the problem... i don't care if the gas is $3/L as long as they give us more jobs to work, higher salary, etc. i don't mind working as long as there's work and there's a good minimum pay... i might word myself poorly, but i hope you get my idea

when i bought my car 2 years ago gas was 62.4 and at an empty tank i would fill up at $20 yesterday i put in $30 at 98.9 when it was on empty and it just made it under full....so WTF?

so it's not just $3 more
