Doing a Search on the forum

I did a search for "search" and way too much came up for me to filter through so I'm just going to ask. Does a search topic that has multiple words need any symbol or sign in between them? It seems to just key on the first word when I'm doing a search. Any constructive help would be appreciated.

Advanced query: Join words with AND, OR and NOT to control your search in more detail.
Add asterisks (*) to use wild cards in your search (*bullet* matches vBulletin etc.)
