Do You Take Drugs ?
lol no no no b4 yall get excited ...
i was just having a convo with a friend and shes like i have really bad allergies and that she was out of claritin that she takes "all the time" and they dont work ..... so she was going to get some reactain (?sp)
so !
do u guys immediately take a pill to combat a cold / allergies / headache / ect ?
me personally i am anti medicine .. i think ur body gets immune to meds after a while and you wont be able to fend off certain illnesses after some time ... only headache pills i ever take are "Aleve" no longer sold anywhere apparently .. lol .. if so only in the states .. taht ish works 100% everytime and usually within the hour .. anything else is not usefull IMO ...
when i get a cold i usually fight it off without anything .. get sleep and that kinna stuff ....
only time i would take meds is if iw as really bad for a few days ..

im anti-pill popping too. i dont think pills really solve any problems, just put them off. if i have a headache ill ride it out instead of stuffing myself full of tylonal. the only time ill take medication is if im really really sick.

it depends on the situation
the allergy shots make you dependant and make your allergies worse if you don't take them later on.
nasal sprays are addictive, but you will go back to normal if you stop using them... like you shouldn't use it more than three days in a row
antihistamine pills are okay to take everyday during allergy season
i have really bad allergies, my air path is very crooked (had some surgery), plus i'm a hairy guy so I have to trim nosehairs to breathe easier.
i have a lot of trouble sleeping during allergy season.
i take pills daily (you're supposed to, they aren't meant for quick relief)
i take the nasal spray whenever necessary (i overuse it), but i'm okay off season, i only need it when i got to hotels, etc (dust)
and for the last two night in a row i've also use the breath right strips. basically a hard sticky thing that you put on your nose that pulls out your nostrils in order to increase the passageway size.
kind of makes me have a black guy nose

Propranolol for my migraines, I take it daily
Demerol tablets taken when needed
Advil or tylenol for pain or aches
Allergy pills - I mix them cause I've built up an immunity for them over the many years of suffering
B12 vitamins

Usually they contain 0.05% oxymetazoline hydrochloride.
Like I said, the body does get used to it, so it should not be abused.
There is another option which isn't as easy available everywhere is Cromolyn. It used to be prescription only, but now it's legal over the counter. I have not tried it yet.

otherwise I try to deal with it, drink a glass of water or something...
