Hey guys!

Anyone heard of some company called DIVG (Davies International something Group)?

Some dude from there called me on my cell and said one of my friends gave him my info (he knew my friends name and the fact that he was in Europe at the moment) and said he wants me to come to some interview.

He was very skimpy on details which was kinda annoying and was like "I can't give you our website because we don't want just anyone going there" which sounds like a load of crap. Who knows what this guy is up to.. I'm thinking it's some sort of a Pyramid scheme or some type or Amway thingy..

He said he'd give me more details in person after he saw my resume and stuff. He wanted to meet me at the Delta Hotel at 401 and Kennedy tomorrow for an interview. I told him I'd show but now I'm thinking of calling him tomorrow and saying I'm not interested.

It just doesn't add up: calling off a cell + very little/no information + very unprofessional + can't ask my friend since he is backpacking through europe + wants to meet at some hotel = no sense..

Anyone heard anything of this company? I tried to search the net but to no prevail.. He said something about working for thousands of companies offering millions of products and something about e commerce..

Any help would be great!

sounds strange.... i dunno, if some man called me and said to meet him at a hotel....i would hang up the phone and not think twice..... BUT seeing as you like old men and hotel rooms, what's the worse that'll happen? he'll touch you, you'll make some money... and no one will ever know

ok... being serious, it's prolly a scam... like amway, or sumptin like that...
so you go.... let him so his selling job...and then say no politely....

I think I'm just gonna call tomorrow and cancel before hand stating that I 'reconsidered' and that I'm not interested. The way I see it, is that I'm not gonna drive down there in rush hour traffic to waste some time at a hotel listening to some boring guy..

If I wanted to drive a long distance and listen to some boring guy, I'd come down to your appartment, Jon! (just kiddin, bro)

but on topic at hand, yea.. i'd say it was a scam. they do all sorts of things like this. but usually approach u in large public places like Chapters.

yea, just call him up and say u're not gonna meet him and that u're waisting both your time. or u can just not show, and he'll call u and then u can tell him.

i hate scam artists (read my other thread bout vans' selling speakers)
