Option #1: If you're male, and the best friend happens to be female, then wouldn't you pick up your best friend of the opposite sex? Not only would you be saving your best friend who once saved you, but that friendship could also be the foundation for the best lasting romantic relationship.

And really, who's to say that the woman of your dreams will love you back, since up to this point, she hasn't?
