complaing about a thread?

what would it take for you to complain to a moderator about a thread?

how would you feel if somone complained about your thread and it was shut down?

I really don't care either way regarding anything I post.

I would only make note of a thread to a moderator if someone home address or something was posted..

just curious as to how people feel about comments other make on the internet.

if i consider you an idiot for example, your opinion, no matter what you posted, really wouldn't affect me in anyway.

I never have and never plan on reporting a thread. Partly because i know someone else will eventually do it.

LOL. Passing the buck.

As a Mod, I take all complaints seriously. I'll read the thread and I'll close or edit it accordingly. The 2 areas that are my responsibility can be very busy, so I do appreciate it when others bring potential problems to my attention that I may have missed.

Yeah, but unfortunately some people do get out of hand and some order has to be brought to the site. People think they can come on and say just about anything they want, say whatever to whoever they want. If this were an open forum with no rules then sure, say whatever, but the site has it's rules and they are stated all over the site. I understand that most people can let things roll off their backs, but that is not the point. TCC is trying to promote a friendly sharing type atmosphere for car enthusiast to enjoy. It also doesn't look good when you have existing affiliates or potential affiliates reading unessessary posts that have people threatening people or showing them up etc. There are people that are responsible for the running of this board and take pride in what they are representing. Most people that post on here do not take into consideration what goes on in the background to keep things going and trying to keep things running smoothly.

This is completely and defiantly true but to answer the question "what would it take for YOU to complain to a moderator about a thread?"
For me I could care less what anyone has to say, it's their choice. I find ppl just make fools of them selves before anything.

I don't have to complain

I do however find it quite difficult to manage the tolerance levels of all the users on this site, so we usually tend to be a little conservative on what we allow. Some mods and admin are more conservative than I am, but I think they do a great job in making this a friendly PG environment. haha

We welcome people to complain, it makes it real easy for us to judge the sensitivity in here.
