Coldest Winter in YRS

Anyone feel like the winter we're currently having is one of the coldest in a while. It feels like some days its arctic cold. I don't remember it being like this in recent history.

Result of Global Warming and weather extremes?

No, this isn't that cold...infact I think we've had less 'cold days' when we normally get...

One year isn't proof of global warming or weather extremes....they affect the averages, not one year...

Its weather extremes in my opinion. If we were to look at snowfall from previous years, we had the maximum amount this year, during December and January. February has been rather wet for this time of year. It has been bitterly cold; but it feels like a dry cold - which makes it feel worse.

There was stretch of days in January where it felt like there was layers of cold. It remember walking 30 seconds and my hands froze and ice formed on my nose hair, just in 30 seconds.

winter sucks in any form whatsoever. the january snap was brutal plus a couple of days in february. the worse days are just a few though (like today) and as long as everyday is not like today...its still manageable.

global warming yo

My perfect winter day would be 15 cm of soft snow and -3 degrees weather.... that -30 with windshield chit is not necessary for me... or my car

I actually don't think it has been that cold this year. True, we have had some cold days, but I remember in the 80s when we frequently had temperatures in the -30s and a lot more snow.

I would agree, however, that compared to the last 10 years or so, this year we have had more snow.
